Delicious food, ambiance and service was impeccable!! Our waitress was great and recommended great food and wine. The restaurant itself gives off coastal vibes and the seafood was delicious and fresh! Order the hummingbirds cake!!! Everything was soooo delicious. We will definitely come back. The Cabernet Sauvignon is top tier.

yesterday I visited salt on mass. I have been wanting to check this place out for years and had the opportunity to finally go. What pulled myself in my friend into this place was that it was listed on devour. We actually ended up getting different items from the regular menu

Well, I heard a lot about this place and the food is nothing short of amazing . A couple of recommendations...get there early, open seating at the bar if you don't have reservations. If not, get reservations so you can enjoy this wonderful dining experience. The food is great! The manager was great at facilitating every thing and worked the floor of the restaurant. A very enjoyable experience and they have outdoor seating available.

THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR NIGHT SO WONDERFUL! WOW and WOW. My newly married husband loves Salt on Mass and wanted to celebrate his 60th birthday there! I made a reservation through Open Table and submitted comments that it was his big "60". Most restaurants never read that (it seems), but Salt on Mass made sure to comment on his birthday when we arrived! It was wonderful. Our waiter delighted us the entire night and ensured everything was moving along at an incredible pace, not too fast or too slow. We started with the Himalayan Salt Block Sashimi and added on the Hawaiian Poke! WOW, oh WOW. Our Old Fashioned's were amazing and perfect. Dinner consisted of some excellent Chilean Sea Bass and my husband had the specialty of the night, which was orange roughy. I added the lemon butter to the Chilean Sea Bass and tasted the citrus chili; you cannot go wrong with either one. The risotto under the Chilean Sea Bass was perfectly prepared, not undercooked or overcooked. They set the scene for a great evening and dessert to end the night. I could not have been happier with my experience and the fantastic food. Dessert included the Hummingbird Cake (amazing) and the Six Layer Chocolate Cake (yum, yum). PROS: Ambience is amazing Service was above par The entire staff made you feel great, the greeting was wonderful Bar seating looks out onto Mass Ave, with a fantastic view Food was perfect Desserts were amazing Drinks were wonderful CONS: Cost: it is not something you can do every day, but for a 60th, it is worth it Parking can be a pain if you do not have an early reservation

Food is ALWAYS ALWAYS amazing when I go. Service is always nice and timely. And the restaurant is beautiful

I had a large gathering at Salt to celebrate a milestone. Brielle and team took excellent care of all of us. We had an exceptional experience! The drinks did not go empty, each dish was creatively plated including appetizers, salads, mains, and the dessert presentation was show stopping! I highly recommend you consider Salts' private dining room for your event. You won't be disappointed! Ask for Brielle! I only regret I didn't take photos of our food!

My husband likes this place a lot. I like it so-so. The food is pretty good. The shrimp and grits aren't on par with true southern shrimp and grits. The crab cakes are pretty good (though, if you really want amazing crab cakes, check out Tony's downtown). The artichoke crab pot is super yummy; however, the last time we went we got a big piece of artichoke stem. Yuk. Here's my biggest pet peeve: the owner is always friendly...TO MY HUSBAND. He literally will only look at my husband when we are BOTH standing there actively talking to him. My husband even goes out of his way to try to include me (b/c he's awesome like that), but the owner will apparently only speak to men. Very odd.

Here to comment solely on the food specials. The sea bass and scallops with lobster risotto special and the corvina and scallops with mango salsa special were AMAZING! Balanced, full of flavor and priced fairly.

First of all, THIS IS THE SPOT. This restaurant truly cannot be described with enough words to express the delicacy of every single detail. The tables are set with the finest silverware to napkins, to the cutest candle they light for each table. The ambiance inside feels so chic and yet also a place you can bring children. This would be an amazing spot for a lunch, a dinner, a girls weekend meal, a date night, a family gathering, a business dinner. The service was exceptional, we had Chris as ours and he was absolutely phenomenal and very attentive and listened well with all requests as well as making sure to give all his advice on the best selections and we got the best meal based on just that. The busers did a great job clearing empty plates off our table and I never had an empty water which I so appreciate! Now to the food, holy moly I cannot say enough about the freshness, quality, quantity, and the want for more of my meal! I shared a meal and an appetizer with my partner and it was plenty of food! We had the chefs special by recommendation and it was probably one of the best seafood dishes I have ever eaten, even compared to eating in the keys. Their quality of food and how amazing everything tasted together is a true testament to the love they pour into each dish they serve. Everything was hot and delicious and I cannot wait to come back to try different dishes. My drink was also very delicious and not weak at all! Cannot wait to come back, hoping the next round I get a little date night to enjoy at the bar because that felt like an amazing spot. I would also love sitting outside during the evening as it is beautiful outside!
